Year 1987. France begins to collaborate with Spain in the fight against the terrorist gang ETA while a dissident group of the organization plans to commit an attack in Paris.

When LA police detective Valerio (Salvador Pineda) finds his wife Cecilia (Patricia Rivera) doing cocaine with her lover Tim (Roberto Palazuelos)—he calls her a “Perra” (bitch) and makes it clear he’s done with her.

Santiago 1984. Carmen, former JJCC, after being tortured by the CNI, works as an undercover agent. Francisco, an agent obsessed with her, infiltrates her in an advertising production company, meets Gastón, creative director. He discovers that he is planning a commercial in the mountains as part of an escape operation for a political prisoner. Carmen manipulates both of them, lying to Francisco and approaching Gastón, in order to join the operation and thus achieve her own escape.

This historical drama addresses European immigration to the Americas (in this case to Buenos Aires, Argentina) during the last two decades of the 19th century. Among its main characters are a Spanish immigrant, a German one, and an established "Argentine." They compete for the affection of a more established female Spanish immigrant, now a successful businesswoman, albeit a prostitute.

During the so-called Conquest of the Desert, Major Sarabia is sent to the Cruz del Sur fort to replace Major Molina, who was murdered at the hands of the Indians. He is the only one who can stop Santiago, "the most rebellious of the caciques of the southern border, the only one who does not accept peace with the government."
